Pigeons may seem fairly harmless… until they take over your roof and property. Pigeons are one of the most common bird pests in Los Angeles County, leaving unsightly droppings, nesting material and feathers wherever they set up their home.
Even worse, pigeons can spread disease and their droppings are highly acidic, with the ability to damage buildings, roofs and machinery.
Do you have a pigeon problem at your business or your home?
At All Star Animal Trapping, we employ a range of pigeon removal and control methods to get rid of the flying nuisance and make your property inhospitable to them.
Along with our exclusion methods, we can trap pigeons so they can be disposed of humanely. Unfortunately, pigeons cannot be relocated as they have strong homing instincts and can return to their nesting area, even from thousands of miles away!
Contact All Star Animal Trapping for humane pigeon control service. We don’t just get rid of the pigeons; we offer exclusion services to keep them from ever returning.

Netting is an excellent long-term control method to keep pigeons out of roof AC units, overhead pipes and more.
Metal or plastic spikes can be installed along ledges and beams to prevent pigeons from landing and nesting. Bird spikes have pointed edges that extend from the surface at an angle and can run any expanse. We can install spikes along ledges, eaves, window sills, roof peaks or anywhere else pigeons are prone to roost.
“Birth control” products can prevent pigeon eggs from hatching. It’s also important to remove nests, as pigeons will eventually move on to a new nesting area after unsuccessful attempts to roost.
While pigeons have no natural enemies in urban environments, they still retain a fear of becoming prey. Many devices can frighten pigeons away, including noisemakers, Mylar fabric, pinwheels and life-size reproductions of owls and falcons. This option can be effective but it’s usually temporary unless the items are rotated frequently.
Pigeons are common pests that can cause extensive damage and spread disease. There are many ways in which your home or business can be threatened by a pigeon infestation.
Pigeons can construct their nests almost anywhere, including your gutters, drains, ledges and under the corners of your roof. Pigeon nests can clog your drainage system and cause water damage to your roof and building when water cannot drain properly.
Pigeon nests in ventilation systems and chimneys can block airflow, increase wear-and-tear on an HVAC system and spread disease-carrying feathers indoors. It’s even possible for pigeon nests to block exhaust systems, which can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning.
What’s the most serious threat from a pigeon infestation? Their droppings. Pigeon droppings can carry over 60 transmittable diseases and parasites. Inhaling the microorganisms in dried pigeon waste can even cause disease in humans.
Along with the threat of disease, pigeon droppings are highly acidic and may damage paint, wood, siding and fabric. They can even short-circuit electrical equipment!
And that’s not all. The highly acidic nature of pigeon droppings can etch brick, concrete, metal and marble. When pigeons are not controlled, damage can easily reach thousands of dollars for repairs and cleanup. Read more at the

There was a terrible smell in my bathroom so I called a plumber who then recommended All Star Animal Trapping because the smell turned out to be a dead animal. I'm glad I called. The rep was friendly and professional. He removed a dead possum from under my bathtub and repaired a broken vent. I would absolutely use this company again.
Michael and Rob were nothing short of phenomenal. They came out in 105’ weather and installed a snake fence for us and cleared up a ton of the brushes that were easy hideout spots for rattlesnakes. I will 100% use these guys again and plan to recommend them to others as well. Thank you very much for your hard work!
Peter was awesome. Quick, left the place perfectly clean, and he even found a place for the poor stuck-in-our-wall kitten to go after rescuing her! Everyone I dealt with on the phone or in person were clear, polite, helpful and transparent about price. They will be my first call if we have any future issues. Have to add on Connor came out to follow up with a second kitten and cleared out our attic sealed everything up. He was amazing. Above and beyond doesn’t begin to describe it and it’s clear he cares so much about the animals he works with.
I had a snake show up unexpectedly, and All Star Animal Trapping was amazing! The technician arrived within just 10 minutes of my call — super fast! He was professional, calm, and clearly knew what he was doing. He quickly trapped, and removed the snake without any issues. Highly recommend this company if you ever need fast and reliable help with wildlife.
It all started with a rat that unfortunately decided to have my car's radiator hose for dinner. By sheer luck, I decided to pop my hood to check for fluid levels before leaving. Fortunately, Robert came through and inspected all points of entry in the garage and sealing up all potential access. Robert also performed a thorough house inspection and fabricated a brand new crawlspace entry door along with mesh screening several smaller areas throughout. The level of effort most def can't go unnoticed. Super happy customer.
What a fantastic experience it has been working with this company! I have had a family of opossums here at my house who were getting into things, and I also started seeing rodent droppings. I’m a huge animal lover and did not want to kill them, but didn’t know what to do. From the first moment I spoke with Iris on the phone, I knew this was the company for me. I have the highest praise for Pablo, Brandon, Luis R. and Connor, who came to my home and sealed up my house and are getting rid of the rats. We also just trapped the second possum this morning. He is in a humane cage right now and they are coming later to release him next to the one that they trapped and released yesterday because I know they are a family. If you have any issues with unwanted critters, this is definitely the place to go to for help. They are incredible at their job and they really care. Thank you everyone!
We had a nest of skunks beneath the house. And a raccoon. A contentious one. Need I draw you a picture? It quickly became necessary to alert visitors to the house, "Yes, we're aware the place smells like skunk. But we're working on it." And by "we" I mean Conner at All Star Animal Control. I had looked up the incredibly labor-intensive way of dealing with the situation and wondered, frankly, how is THAT going to happen? And then Connor made it happen. One way doors. Traps for the lollygaggers. (Sidebar: none of the wee beasties were killed.) By the time it was finished he had actually rebuilt the access to beneath the house so it was secure. The situation was handled in an efficient and professional manner and I couldn't recommend them more highly.
Peter and Joel were amazing! Went above and beyond effort level to help us solve our problem. They have passion and really care about what they do and shared a lot of helpful knowledge. Excited to move forward with a plan to successfully treat our problem and I will definitely review again one our process is complete. This initial inspection surpassed my expectations and they are both just such good people with great expertise!
All Star Animal Trapping came out to my house on Sunday evening to remove a skunk that made a home in my back yard Planter. Connor Merkovich was the technician who provided the service. He was prompt, knowledgeable, and quick to remove the skunk! I would highly recommend this company and will be calling them again if needed!
Connor and Joel were polite, professional and thorough. They showed all the areas where I had rodent issues and gave detailed explanations of their solutions. They inspected from the top of the roof to underneath the crawl space. I was impressed! This is my third time engaging their services and they do not disappoint. They even solved my coyote problems at my rental property.

Birds are virtually everywhere and that happens to include people’s homes. Although not the most common thing, it’s not rare to find a bird in your attic at some point or another. While it might be a pretty startling sight accompanied by some scratching or droppings, birds really aren’t in your attic to cause harm. Rather, it’s a place that provides covering and protection from the outdoors and predators.
Still, that doesn’t mean you should leave them in your attic; after all, birds can cause corrosive damage to your attic, attract other animals, cause other issues. With that in mind, it’s pretty important to get birds out of an attic as soon as you can. So here’s how to get birds out of the attic.
The first step is in finding out how the birds enter and exit your attic. There are countless ways little birds can squeeze into places, though out of the way they might be. Attics can have many weak spots, like cracks, pipes, vents and other coverings that can quickly provide access for birds to enter your attic without much effort.
When dealing with birds, it’s usually not too difficult to find these openings – birds fly, after all, so by simply looking at the different sides of your attic and its entrances, you’ll be able to see virtually every spot where the little creatures enter and exit. These are important to keep in mind as they’re helpful in finding spots to keep birds out of, moving forward.
Once you’ve found all the entrances or exits that birds can possibly go through, then you’ll need to safely block off all but one. Whether that’s via a professional you’ve contacted or just some caulk and sealant, it doesn’t really matter. What does matter is that you leave just a single opening, as it gives a place to push the birds out down the road.
After everything’s sealed off (but one entrance), then you can either use loud music or just set up a bird cage trap at the last entrance. Loud music scares off birds and can get them all to leave quickly, although it could be potentially damaging to their health. Cage traps are much safer alternatives, but they require the birds to actively exit in order to be captured.

After pushing the birds out of the attic, it’s important to make sure no baby birds or any messes are left behind. Baby birds can die quickly without their parents, meaning that a little problem can quickly grow into an inhumane incident that turns odorous in your attic. As for droppings and any messes left behind, these can prove corrosive and dangerous for the rest of the people in your home.
Although it might be limited to the attic, bird droppings, feathers and more can all cause more damage than expected. Birds can carry diseases and other harmful things for humans, and the messes they leave behind can hurt your attic and the structure of the area. Although getting birds out of an attic is the first step, one of the most important ones comes afterward in making sure everything bird-related is gone.
No matter what step of the process you’ve gone through, however, it’s important to make sure that you’re keeping yourself, loved ones or employees and customers safe.
Don’t be afraid to call us for help, especially for locating and sealing up entrances, and the final steps after you’ve run any birds out of your attic. Animal control is difficult, and especially with flying animals.
